Planting peas and beans

Our first crop of runner beans has gone in and a wigwam of twigs has been planted for them the clamber up just as Monty Don did in his garden.

We also planted a crop of Delikett peas which promises to be "a very heavy cropping sugar (or 'snow') pea, which produces masses of stringless pods, which need virtually no preparation before use.".  Well, we'll just have to wait and see!

The herbs are looking goods, as are the strawberries
It's Bank Holiday this weekend so they are sure to be well watered.

  1. Ha ha, you wasn't wrong about the bank holiday. I haven't planted my beans yet, that's a job for the next few days if I get time. My chives are at the same stage as yours, I'm looking forward to them flowering as the bees love their blooms.
