It
was unseasonably warm for mid-November as we weeded, planted and admired the wonderful views of Leeds.
Our leeks |
We
were excited to see that the broad beans sown four weeks ago are already 2 – 3”
high. Let’s hope the pigeons leave them
alone.
We
planted up onion sets, Senshyu white
and Electric red, shallots Jermor and garlic Germidour. In fact, the very
ingredients for Yorkshire More’s Three Onion Chutney! http://www.yorkshiremore.com/
November
is a good month to plant garlic. If you
fancy growing your own, the cloves can be planted in seed trays or modules,
kept out of the frost and planted out in the Spring.
I think you got everything done in the nick of time, the weather's certainly changed since your post. It' wild here today, rain and wind, roll on spring.
